THE Licensed Private Hire Car Association (LPHCA) has confirmed that its flagship 2025 AGM & Roadshow will take place on Thursday 18th September at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel.
The annual event is a key date in the taxi, private hire and chauffeur industry calendar, bringing together operators, suppliers, licensing authorities, and trade bodies under one roof.
Exhibitors already confirmed include leading product and service providers, alongside experts covering regulation, compliance, and innovation within the sector.
This year’s Roadshow will again adopt the successful Keynote Speakers and Industry Panels format, running across morning and afternoon sessions. Discussions will tackle some of the most pressing issues facing operators, chauffeurs, and suppliers, including:
- Improving medical requirements – making them safer, easier to book and more cost-effective
- The negative impact of drop-off fees, tolls and charges on operators and passengers
- Licensing challenges for larger and wheelchair-accessible PHVs under net-zero rules
- The debate over mandatory CCTV in vehicles
- Counter-terrorism policing and security within the sector
- Licensing out-of-area – exploring reasons and busting myths
- Signage requirements for PHVs
Alongside the public sessions, the LPHCA AGM will also examine topics directly affecting members and partners, with provisional agenda items including:
- LPHCA Members and Partners update
- Digital platform reporting obligations
- Making Tax Digital and compliance challenges
- The Sefton High Court ruling and the VAT question
- Chauffeur & Executive Committee changes
As always, the event will provide complimentary food, beverages, and free parking for exhibitors, attendees, and invited guests – ensuring a productive, well-supported day of networking and discussion.
With dialogue ongoing between the industry and government, the 2025 Roadshow is expected to be particularly significant, providing clarity on future licensing requirements and giving operators the chance to voice their concerns.
