Black Cab protest underway against Uber operations

Published on

Thousands of black cab drivers in London are staging peaceful protests to highlight the fact Uber is still operating in the city.

The series of protests which will apparently continue until Friday 19th February is against Transport for London’s (TfL) decision to allow Uber to continue trading in London, despite being refused a license in September 2017.

The Independent Taxi Alliance is accusing TfL of putting the public’s safety at risk and has labelled the decision as ‘unacceptable’.

There are plans to continue the protests throughout the city for the remainder of the week.
