A ULEZ-friendly E-Class model has officially gone on sale offering zero emission capabilities for chauffeurs.
Priced from £47,700, the E300de Saloon and Estate models offer around 30 miles of battery capacity whilst housing a punchy 2.0 litre, 194hp diesel engine boosted by an extra 122hp from its electrical drivetrain.
Mercedes-Benz claims the new E300de can achieve 166.2 mpg on the combined cycle whilst emitting 41 g/km of Co2. The vehicles battery can be charged from 10 to 100 per cent in under two hours with a 7.4 kW charger.
The entry-level SE features an array of standard equipment including widescreen cockpit, four USB ports, touchpad with controller, Active Parking Assist with front and rear parking sensors, seat comfort package, ambient lighting and heated front seats.
A comfort package is also available in conjunction with the Premium or Premium Plus package costing £1,895 for SE trim (£3,295 for AMG Line) and includes energising comfort control, air suspension and Nappa leather upholstery.
