Europe’s largest private hire company, Addison Lee has announced a major expansion of its executive car fleet.

The operator has invested £3.2m million to grow its fleet in response to a 15% jump in executive car bookings over the last year. The company will add 100 new Mercedes Benz E-Class saloons to its existing fleet, which will make it the UK’s largest fleet of executive cars.

Andy Boland, Chief Executive Officer at Addison Lee, said: “We are excited to put the new range of Mercedes E-Class cars on London’s roads as Addison Lee increases its offering to meet the demands of some of London’s leading corporate executives.”

This investment will significantly increase the number of executive vehicles that the company can offer to its clients. Addison Lee currently service 70% of the London FTSE 100 and will be putting the first batch of its executive fleet on the road this week.

Boland continued: “We have made major investments to expand our executive fleet, this has ensured we have the best drivers and the best vehicles in the UK. By increasing our range of executive cars, more customers will be able to enjoy a superior experience that delivers on quality and service.”

The new Mercedes saloon is more fuel efficient than similar models, coupled with impressive refinements for the passengers and drivers alike including a new body shape that makes the vehicle incredibly quiet. The Mercedes E-Class is powered by new Euro 6 low emissions standard engines.
