TheChauffeur.com is on a quest to find out the real mileage covered every year by a UK Chauffeur in an official survey.
It’s designed to raise awareness amongst vehicle manufacturers which offer exclusive chauffeur programmes on their vehicles as to what the industry expect when purchasing a new car for their fleet.
Many report the base mileage allowances on some chauffeur programmes are too low for chauffeurs operating in rural areas, however, city chauffeurs are happy with the figures. We are working with all the main manufactures such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz to find out what the average mileage covered by a single vehicle in a 12 month period, and what chauffeurs would like to see in future programmes.
So far, 56% of operators cover between 25,000-50,000 miles per year whilst 16% do between 75,000 and 100,000 miles per year in a single vehicle. When being asked what benefits they would like to see in a chauffeur programme, some have mentioned fully maintained vehicles with free tyres, and lower deposits would be key factors.
The information we gather will be fed back to manufacturers which will hopefully allow them to make sure future programmes are even more attractive to the industry.
