American chauffeur businesses will be getting glimpse of the latest offerings from luxury manufacturer Cadillac and BMW at the forthcoming LCT Show in Las Vegas.
General Motors is expected to reveal its 2013 Cadillac XTS ‘Livery Sedan Package’ which is designed for professional use at the event on 13-15th February. Two other versions of the XTS – an extended (LWB) version and another which could be stretched up to 70 inches are being developed but won’t be on display.
Ray Bush, from Cadillac Professional Vehicles commented; “This new vehicle will help dispel some of the myths out there about Cadillac. The Cadillac of old was from the standpoint of large, floaty vehicles. Cadillac has moved away from that with its new products launched over the last 10 years. The XTS will further that with outstanding ride characteristics that compare favourably with Cadillac vehicles of the past.”
He added; “We do not compare ourselves to Lincoln, we benchmark ourselves against the best German makes such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi,” said Bush. However, the Town Car has been the workhorse of the industry for so many years, so we see the XTS as an opportunity to get more of the industry into Cadillac.”
BMW will be making its first ever appearance of the LCT Show by displaying its award-winning 5-Series GT and 7-Series models to the industry. Both vehicles have received an array of awards in the UK since their launch, the most recent being the 5GT being recognised the best vehicle in the £25,000-£50,000 category of The Chauffeur Car of the Year Awards 2011.
