More bad news for Lexus LS and GS Chauffeurs

2 Jul, 2010 Editor News Snippets

Chauffeurs who operate the Lexus brand are being warned of another potential fault with the LS and GS models.

The manufacturer has revealed information which highlights the fact that improperly functioning valve springs have been found in some Lexus engines and there is a small possibility that abnormal engine noise or unstable idling may occur.

In very rare instances, there is a chance that the engine may stop. Lexus has emphasised that there have been no reported accidents related to this issue.

Vehicles in the UK that may be affected include the Lexus GS 450h, GS 460, LS 460 and LS 600h models, which totals approximately 3,200 vehicles.

There has been no official recall of the models, but Lexus is urging customers to contact them if they have concerns.

A spokesperson commented; “Lexus will do whatever it can to ensure that our customers’ inconvenience is minimised as much  as possible, decide on any action, and inform our customers promptly.”

Chauffeurs can contact their local Lexus centre or the Lexus Customer Relations team on 01737 367 601 for assistance.
