Jaguar commits to industry with Chauffeur Programme

Chauffeurs will be looked after and will benefit from a priority and exclusive service according to Jaguar Cars, as it prepares to re-launch its dedicated Chauffeur Programme.

The manufacturer has opened its doors to thechauffeur.com to reveal the all-new Jaguar XJ before it is officially available, and speak of its plans to cater for the chauffeur industry when it re-introduces its revised programme.

In 2008, the first phase of the programme was revealed, bringing with it priority servicing, membership to the Quintessentially concierge service and a free replacement licensed vehicle if yours was off the road for any reason. Jaguar has admitted that the programme was not perfect, mostly due to the previous XJ not entirely being suited for the chauffeur industry.

With the all-new XJ, the company has revised and introduced a number of improvements which Jaguar promises will keep them class-leading – although details of the changes have not yet been released.

David Spencer from Jaguar Cars

Head of Corporate Sales for Jaguar Cars, David Spencer told thechauffeur.com; “The car is the business for the chauffeur, we can’t afford for the chauffeur to have the car off the road – if it is, then his business has stopped! So, we’ve been doing everything we can to enable the chauffeur to maximise the on road time for what is his workhorse.’

He added; “If there is a need for servicing, we are prioritising that with a two to three hour service, any warranty work will be dealt with immediately. If there are any problems with the car, then we have PCO licensed replacements, so with all those aspects, we are hopefully keeping the company working.”

Jaguar has had a tough couple of years, which was bought to an end with the overall success of the XF. Now, it is hoped that the new Jaguar Chauffeur programme and the all-new flagship model, these will continue the successes Jaguar has recently experienced.
