Chauffeur company promises no disruption after recall

A chauffeur company with 27 Toyota Prius in its fleet will battle on through the recall and promises its clients that service will be unaffected.

Bosses at Green Tomato Cars based in London responded quickly to the recall of 400,000 Prius vehicles worldwide, by highlighting the fact it only represents 20% of its fleet.

Toyota has announced the recall following reports of a problem with the brakes in a small number of vehicles – this will be fixed within 40 minutes at the Toyota service centres.

A spokesman from Green Tomato cars commented; “Customer and staff safety is our absolute priority. All of our drivers are aware of the issue and have been trained accordingly. We have 27 Prius on our fleet which have already covered over 200,000 miles without a single technical problem.”

He added; “If we felt the cars were unsafe, we would take them off the road immediately. However, this is not the case.”
